I had a bad cv joint and yoke so I bought a new OEM half shaft and replaced it. First trip out trying to help a buddy out of a mud hole blew the same side again. Is this just bad luck or is there something else that could be helping blow the cv joint. I had no problems with it till I blew the first one( Had that wheel stuck in hole and when I turned 4 wheel on and gave it some gas it popped). So now I have two blown cv joints on the same side, I want to make sure its not something else before I blow another $200.00 on a cv joint.

 

i had an 02 500 and never broke any cv's. but i did break one on my 800 by having aot of power and being stupid at the same time.

 

Popped my right front one this w/e. Hoping this is not a trend.
