why does it pop when i speed shift it? When im racing it pops when i shift and i was wondering if i was tearing something up?

 

what year is it and what have you dont to it? We have a friend w/ an '03 and he took the baffle out of his exhast (not smart) and rode it around. It was not jetted correctly for one, and the other thing was he was hitting the rev limiter between shifts, but the louder exhaust makes the rev limtter much more audible. with the factory muffler on it, i could barely hear it... I'd say it's either you're hitting the rev limitter, or it's not jetted quite right... if it's the limitter you're not hurting anything, but jetting, it oculd be slowly hurting it... hope this helps, poist back w/ more info and i can help more...
