Has anyone disabled there high gear lock out?
It looks easy to do, but will it cause damage? The 2006 does not have it.

I like the high/park lockout myself. When I shift I dont want to look down to make sure I hit low instead of high. If my foot is on the brake I know I have high, if not I know I have low.

Yeah, I don't like the feature for going into high, but I do like being able to "rock" the quad without going into high. I imagine you would lose any momentum that you had from "rocking"!

I'm with you Charlie. I kinda' like knowin' that without hitting the brake, all of the way forward=low and all of the back=reverse. I have one quad both ways. I guess I just got used to throwing the shifter on my 800 and going for it. I have to make sure that I look down and check the X2 when using low gear to pull stumps or logs. I'm just lazy I guess.
