I just got done changing my trans, front diff fluid and greased all zerks. Cost about $15.00. Polaris wants $230.00. Although it did take me about 45minutes including cleanup, because I spilled some trans fluid on the garage floor and on the top of the skid plate. If you can get out of bed, you can service your atv.

Because this is turning into a service economy, and people will pay. BTW, it is your dealer/shop charging that, Polaris the company doesn't necessarily set labor rates or anything.

an oil change here is 25 bucks, and the first service and grease costs like 40 bucks. i do all my own work, but it sounds like your getting ripped off and poked for more

Agreed, ftwflh. People are either too lazy or too busy to do it themselves, or learn how to do it either. In this day of fast food and convienence stores, it's just too easy to pay someone else to do the dirty work. I might do the same if I could afford it and could find someone who I felt confident would do the service taking the same pains with it that I would.

Throw in some mashed knuckles and I'd still do it myself for those rates.

ive found that body shop guys and mechanics make repairing stuff their life and passion, so if you dont like it now, i'll bet you'll hate it more than anything if you started working on other people stuff, hahaha!
