Default 800 efi

Hello all i am thinking about getting a 06 800 efi and trading in my 04.5 700 efi, because lately it has been nothing but trouble, fuel pump, rear wheel bearings, tie rod end, belt, 4x4 engauges when ever it felt like, fixed with a new speedometer, now 16 miles laters it will run on one cylinder and sometimes two it acts like the fuel pump is going out again, it only has 400 miles and 118 hrs, i really like it when it runs normal, seeing what mods i have done to my 700 how much more power does the 800 have?

Well I can tell you this, I have a winch on the front and a Polaris brush guard, and 27" Mudzilla's. It will pull the front end up most of the time, except when it is covered in mud(too heavy then). I weigh about 300 lbs. So, you can use this example to help you determine the power difference.

The jump is about the same as going from a 500ho to a 700. as it is going from a 700 to an 800. Big jump. I love mine.

I love mine. The one thing I might think about though, which you most likely already have, is waiting to see what Polaris is going to do new for the 07s if anything, which we won't know until August. I'm really hoping they will modify the current 800 so that it is a true 800, rather than 760cc. But frankly, I'm more than happy at 760cc. Depends on what kind of riding a person does I guess. The trails I go on...well if you even remotely try and open that thing up your pretty much a dead man. Nice for when I need to do some work though.

A couple of things for Big Dog...

1. That is a sweet helmet.
2. On your Not goinr to get out of this one picture I gotta ask....did you kill it or is she still running and did you make it out? I'm guessing you didn't based on the pictures title but that was pretty darn impressive

Kept it running but the more I tryed to get out the deeper it got. Had to get winched out. I will put up a pict. of my buddy that did not make it either. PS. it was really deep. Helmet is a helmet skin. About 30.00 and you can get dozens of different styles.

Is there anyone having problems with the 06 800efi that i should hear about before thinking about buying one for myself? What mods can be done for some additional ponies?

nfox, i'ld still wait and see if the 07's are going to be a true 800 cc. mods are good but there's no replacement for displacement. just a thought.
