Does anyone have......

.......any good connections for Polaris parts. Had a catastrophic engine failure last week on my '99 diesel and finally had a chance to tear her down. No dealer around here has a tech that can work on these diesels so you have to be your own tech. I need a new head, cam, valves, springs and more, including some bottom end parts. When I called on the parts I almost had a stroke to hear that a head is 419.00 - cam is 280.00 and so on. Yes - I'm an old guy and this slow yet incredibly powerful quad is perfect on the farm. This machine has been kept immaculate and I refuse to let her be parted out, but I need a miracle. I always thought that to have a timing chain skip you had to be really gettin on an engine - I found out different. My wife and I were idleing by our lake when we heard what sounded like the beginnings of an exhaust leak that got bad real fast and boom. Total surprise. Thanks in advance for any ideas ya'll have.

Unfortunately, diesel components need to be overbuilt and are rarely cheap. I have no idea where you might be able to find parts for that motor outside of Polaris, but good luck anyways.
