Hello all, I just found this site by mistake i was doing a search for tweeks for my new quad and found it and i am glad that i did..
My name is billy i am 25.
Back in february i bought my first quad, I got a polaris trailboss 330 it is an 05 model i paid 2900 out the door and it was brand new.
Liek i said this was my first quad but not my forst tiem on a quad, I am for the most part very happy with it i have no complaints other than the chain comes loose easily BUT i play in the mud alot so it is to be expected at least it only take minuits to tighten..
I have so many questions i want o ask experienced peope on here, i am not fully mechanicaly enclined but i do try i would liek to get some more top speed, and a slip on exaust maybe bigger beaffer tires, but for now i will leave it at this i a m gonna go check out the forums glad to meet yall.

Hello DriftinCowboy.. We found that the chain will stretch real quick if you get the mud jammed between the chain and sprocket. It puts a tremedous pressure on the chain. We stay away from the really thick guey stuff if there is a chance it will get in the chain.

If it was new, the chain will stretch a bit at first, but shouldn't need tightened all the time.
It's not know for it's speed, but still a good quad. Putting bigger tires on it is going to take away some of it's power. The pipe will help some, add a k&n or uni filter and rejetting. Getting a clutch kit will help also. Without tearing into the motor, that's about all you can do.
Just let the wife ride a few times, then you'll have to get the Outlaw, so you'll have your own quad.

6 month warranty is the standard from Polaris, unless an extended warranty was purchased.
But unless there is something mechanically wrong, I wouldn't think they'd cover the chain. Not really enough to go wrong, 6 bolts. If it was more than that, would think the whole rear axle would be giving him trouble.
