I agree with ppope, My 06 500ho carb. will only do 55 and my buddys 01 will do well over 60. The low end is better for what we do with these machines, it makes it alot easer on the motor when crawling over trees and rocks or pulling something or someone out of a mud hole.

My 06 500EFI has only made it to 55 once, but that was into the wind, and I have the tall windsheild .. She was taching around 62 - 6400 then .. supposedly redlines around 6800 .. so if I had no wind, or a tailwind I MIGHT get up to 60 .. dn't think so though.

I was a little diappointed with the topspeed at first .. but then .. how often am I going to be hitting even 50mph on this thing .. not often ..
