Which is the better choice? AMS ZIPPER, MAXXIS 4 SNOW, or PRO WEDGE? Trying to save weight and hook up. Thanks Doc I should add that this is on a modded 250, with 35 hp.

Pro-wedge- my vote. They say there a tad lighter, and the paddles wont fold back as easy at low pressure.

I haven't tried the AMS Zippers out in the sand, but they do hook up on my 400 Sport in dirt.I'm going the 25th to St.Joe so I will see how they do.The pro-wedges probably hook a little better because they are radials, but for$155 I got the Zippers with .125 Douglas rims shipped.

Also what do I look for in a wheel, the thickness? I would like the lightest. I'll use my steel wheels for regular use.

Rocky Mountain ATV has it now when you spend $99 or more, shipping is free.The.125 rims are the lightest I know of,they are not for jumping or trail riding(where there are rocks)as they will not take alot of abuse. I checked to make sure, thats 8" .125 rims with 22-10-8 shipped for $151.99.

Rocky Mountian is where I get all my tires and rims. I like the pro wedge's. The maxxis 4 snow dont hook up as good in dirt. From what I have saw with the zippers, they look good, but there supposed to be 22" and beside a set of 22" pro wedge's they look like 24". Just my $.02
