Default New Guy With Xpedition (Again)

Hello All,

I'm new here and I posted a topic on June 12th. No replies on it so I thought I would ask again about my new/old 2000 425 Xpedition. Been doing a little tinkering with it and cleaning it up. Had to replace the thermal switch that turns the fan on and off as the previous owner had a jumper wire installed to make the fan run all of the time. I need to put brakes on the front and noted that the rear/aux foot brake dosn't work at all. The rear master cylinders reservoir is no good as the diaphram is shot. New one is sixteen dollars which beats the sixtyone dollars for the fan switch. At any rate I was curious as to if others out there still run Xpeditions and if there are any other common problems that I can expect. Thanks.

They weren't and overly extremely popular model by any meens. They have everything the same as any other polaris besides the manual tranny. Normal wear items will be brakes, tie rod ends, ball joints, bearings, u-joints..these all need replacing if rode alot.

I have one. Its a 2002. I bought it brand new but so far has less than 100 hours on it. The only problem I had to get fixed was smashing the throttle mechanism when it slammed against the boat rack on the trailer while unloading it.
The only other issue I have is when it is cold sometimes I have to slow right down between upshifts as the clutch seems to not be disengaged. After going thru the gears once the problems is gone. Unsure what the problem is but its been doing it a while but has not gottemn worse.
Maybe you can help me....... I was washing it the other day at the car wash I found a piece of 1/4" plastic tube about 18" long lying underneath. The only place that I can figure it came from is the battery. There is 1 coming from the bottom of the carb right now. Would you have a good look at yours and see if you can determine where it comes from.
Thanks
