Bigger Tire without lift kit?
I have the new swamp lites on out sp600. It is a nice tire but not sure how they are goint to wear. It has a softer compound but they look mean as heck. I also have the ITP Mudlite XL on my Rincon. It is a heavier tire but I think they work better. The new BKT Wing tire you can get in a 25-11-12, AMS swamp Fox 25-11-12, Kenda bearclaw is 25-12.5.12.

tire sizes are not usually extremely accurate. my 27 inch itp 589's measure 25 1/2 inches tall and are exacly the same height as my oem goodyear rawhide 25's. height is not very accurate among different manufacturers, same as off-road truck tires, 35 inch and up. very important is the weight of the tire/wheel combo, check manufacturer's websites for the weight of the tire. a 5 pound difference will make a huge difference in wear and tear on bearings/axles.

I went with the 26x12x12 on the rear and 26x10x12 on the front. Does it steer exactly as easy as before? No, but it took me about 20 minutes to get use to it.
The only problem I ran into was the week front springs, over hard bumps the front fenders rubbed a bit. I had a friend of mine make some 1" spacers for the springs and it cured that. But it was my stock springs were wasted more than anything. I mean look at my pics, it was my own fault.
I am very happy with my Mudlites so far. I hear alot of people complaining of fast tire wear, and I have not seen it. Their is about 600 miles on mine so far and they are still 85-90% tread. Only thing I can think is some spend alot of time on pavement. I do have a plug in one tire, was a nail though so I cant blame the rubber!

I have Mud Lites on my two SP500 , They are lighter than the stock tires! They are softer than stock tires! and if you ride on a lot of blacktop road they will wear out faster than stock tires! But..... They are great in mud sand gravel and rocks and log they stick like glue!
Just remember when out on the road with them at least swith to 2 wheel drive to save wear!

Yeah, I hear that. It's the front I'm most worried about. It gets the most abuse. I wonder now if I can put the 26x12x12 on the rear, but stay with the 25x8x12 on the front? I'll have to think about that one.
Magna, How durable are the aluminum wheels you have on your DUSE? Any problems in that area? I've only had one quad with aluminum wheels and that was a little Honda 250ex.

No complaints on my rims yet. I use the quad mostly for work, then play. I work it on some very rough trails. The one thing I dont see much of is rock climbing. So I cannot coment on that. They see everything else though and have held up well.
As for your tire sizes. Having a 25 on front and a 26 on the rear can cause more stress on the 4 wheel drive then the bigger tires alone. I wouldnt do it myself.
If you really want the 12" wide rears, go with the 26x12x12 and 26x10x12 combo. Its really not that noticable for turning. I was worried about front end wear with the widder tires. And I have kept a very close eye on things, has not cause any problems yet. I wouldnt hesitate to do it again!
