Default correct wheels?

I just bought a used set of Dirt Devils from a friend for cheap and in pretty good shape. The tire sizes are 26x10x12 for the front and 26x12x12 for the rear. I'm planning on putting them on my 2000 Sportsman 500. My plan is to use my stock front wheels and buy a set of wheels for the rear . The problem is I can't find a wheel anywhere that is wider than 8 inches online. Doesn't someone make a wider wheel for 12" wide tires? Or do they mount them on 8 inch wheels?

Also, what would be the correct offset for the wheels in the rear?

They won't mount on the stock wheel because the rear stock wheels are only a 10" diameter.

He said he's gonna buy a set of 12" for the rears. A stock set of 12 rear should work

the 26 x 10's won't fit in the front, they are too wide, they will rub the tie rod ends, especially with the stock wheels. 26 x 9's are a tight fit, even on properly offset wheels.

correct on the rub. You may have to put a small spacer to clear. It won't take much. Just make sure the wheel still rest on the hub. Maybe 1/16 spacer or so. My dad done that to his when he put maxis hunter/scout combo tires on

What about the rears? Can I mount a 12" wide tire on an 8" wide rim?

Yes a 12" wide tire will fit on a 7"or 8" inch wide rim. Most rims are only 7" wide. A few are now making a 8" wide rim.
