Scrambler 400 Shocks
#13
Hey Joka~
I just read your post and I started thinking about the front springs. In 98, Polaris increase the front suspension to 8.2" versus the 6.25" on the 96 scrambler. Then in 99, they increased it again to 8.8". I would imagine you could use some springs from a 98 or newer Scrambler to solve the problem. Just a thought if you want to save some money and buy stock springs.

Just installed the Hot Seat Dual Rate springs up front. Gonna test em' out on Sunday with stock struts. They look rather wimpy compared to the fat, stock ones but they look like they will improve the ride. They seem to be about 1/2 inch shorter too.
Tried installing the rear but I am missing a washer or something because it's 3 inches too short! Gotta call Hot Seat to see what to do...
I will let you know!
