Default 94 400L 4x4 Reverse Override question

Still working on this quad that the mice/ rats ate the wiring up. I got it running when I put it in reverse the quad dies. I can push the override button and it will stay running. I don't think this is normal on this quad. Is there something I missed or out of adjustment?

Well Sportsman die if you go to fast in reverse without the override pushed in...mabey it thinks its goind faster than it really is...i would check the adjustment on that...mabey the speed limiting device (not sure how that works on that quad sorry) needs to be replaced or fixed...

My 94 400l 4x4 does the same thing. It will die when it senses it is in reverse unless override is on.It always has the fast mode in reverse and not the cut off.I would like to know how to fix it too.

Unplug the black wire on the reverse limiter and it will disable it where it will back up but you will still have to use the buton for 4x4 in reverse.

That what it would be.Just bypass it but remember when you hit reverse it will go and not cut out.
