Default scrambler 90 sucked in water

My daughter went through a fairly good size puddle and apparently the two screws on the bottom of the air filter werent tight and allowed water in. I pulled the plug and cleaned it and have the filter box cpompeletly off, but still wont start.
Any suggestions?

Thx, I'm getting gas to the cylinder. Seems like no spark and I've cleaned the plug. How can I check if I'm getting spark to the plug?

take spark plug out connect to wire and try turning it over to see a spark. holding wire may give you a shock, it feels pleasent.

If you pull the plug out, put the wire on it, and put the edge of it against the block, and turn it over you should see a spark. You could have gotten the coil wet which would cause it to not work correctly. I would think by now it should have dried out though unless it is permanently messed up.

Tried a new coil off of a friends quad (same engine) but still no spark. Next in line is a black plastic box with lots of wires. Could that cause no voltage to coil? The ground wire that attaches to the coil is pretty fried, but I don't know if that was old or just happened.

Could be. I'm not real familiar with Scramblers, but if you have a problem with the box with all the wires I think it could cause lots of problems other than just no spark.

Alright, a little research has taught me that the box is the CDI box. Any way to test it before plunking down 100 bucks for a new one?

Check to see if the plug is firing like they said. If it is firing then you dont need a cdi. They are sealed so I'd say it wouldnt be that but may be your ground wire still. More than likely it needs dried out so take out the spark plug and the airfilter off and let it sit for a day than try it. I have used CDIs if you need one.
