Default Carb help please

I have a 2000 Trial Boss 325 that I just cleaned the carb and replace the neddel and seat and adjusted the float. It now runs faster with more power to the rear wheels. But I think it is still too rich. After riding it I let it sit for about an hour, it was hard to start and blew cabon out the pipe. After a few seconds it ran fine. I am in qustion about the choke adjustment, can someone explain how to adjust the choke cable after it has been removed from the carb?

Thanks,
