Default I got a Dumb Question

I am fixing a 1996 SPRTSMN 500 for my friend and have the radiator out. Does the fluid go thru the little coils which zig zag from top tp bottom or does it just go thru the main fin going up or down. There are some small fins damaged and ant to know if they are going to be a problem.

Default I got a Dumb Question

The fluid flows thru the vertical tubes, the zig zag metal fins allow the heat to transfer from the tubes(hot coolant)to the air. So if some of the fins are damaged it wont leak and will still work, if you can straighten out the fins so air will flow thru that will help it cool. If the tubes are damaged it may leak coolant. good luck

Thanks for answering my question.

Preddyfast, It's a small world. My brother just sold his land SW of Bruno and my inlaws live in Askov. We usually get a group of 11 and do a spring ride thru Nemadji. This year we were going to try for a Fall ride up on the Moose Walk/Run trails by Beaver Bay. Have you ever been upthere? They are some nice trails.
