Boutght a new 500 efi and have had trouble with it running since the first day i rode it. All miles put on have been at 7000 ft and higher with most above 8700 ft. Any one else with one of these at atitude and been able to have dealer find a cure? If so I would appreciate any help you could lend.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

On a few early models they had an altitude problem and came up with a ECM reflash to fix it. If you just bought your 500efi it should have the updated program. I had problems with my 500efi stalling. They just recently came up with another reflash and now it has more power and has not stalled since. Ask for the new reflash for the stall issue and it might fix the altitude problem. I've had mine up to about 8000ft with no problems, did notice a little power loss though. Good luck.
