I have 04 scrambler and i was jumping over a dirt hill a minute ago and after i jumped i was driving around the yard and the sterring jerked to the right and i couldnt turn the wheel. I put it in reverse and backed up a little bit and drove foward again and it was fine what could be wrong. thanks

 

The 4wd drive could have clicked in...when you reversed it, then it turned off. does it still do it, or was it just that one time?

 

check your front differential fluid, if it gets low it can start to engage at different times.

 

I have an 06 scrammy and mine did it on my first trail ride. It has only happened once. My grandfather has a 00 sportsman that did it once for me too... think its just a fluke thing that happens from time to time. I wouldnt worry about it. (but im also not going to buy u new parts if something breaks!!)

 

My 99 scrammy did it and I changed the hub fluid and it has never done it since.

i am having the same proplums and i was jumping a hill and it will lockin and i replased fluied 2 times now still is doing it and it can me dandres so watch out if i hasent stoped i was backing up went to spene and it jercked back so hard i went down a hill allmost went over baclwords i was being dum ***
