I've tried my hardest to get that bolt out of my exaust per owners manual, but I just can't seem to do it. Should I?? Why??? Oh...and How???? This is on a SP 335. Thanks.,

The one under the muffler used to blow out the carbon? A 1/2 inch drive ratchet and four foot pipe oughta do it........seriously

Yeah, that's the one. Do I need to keep that bolt in?? I'm thinking of just drilling it out...I don't think man power will quite cut it when it comes to this chore.

Spray it liberally with penetrating oil. Let it soak over night. Use a 1/2" drive breaker bar, but don't force it. Try to loosen it. If it doesn't move go back tight and back loose. Kind of rock the plug. If it still doesn't come loose, try heating the pipe around the plug, not the plug itself. This will expand the threads letting the plug come loose. -Glen
