500 2x4

if you like riding in the mountains and the sand and you don't need the four wheel drive then definitely get the scrambler 500 2wd. I have the sport 400 and it has 2wd and I get around just fine. I have slightly modified it quite a bit but is still gets around for a 2wd.

My riding buddy just bought a 500 2x4 in August and really likes it. His only complaints are the steering stem bushing and the brakes, which have been updated on the newer models. He really likes hill climbing and mudding abilities that it has for a 2 wd. Unless you plan on doing some serious hill climbing or mudding, the 2wd will do just fine. He plans on installing a clutch kit and a pipe in the spring for a little more power, but for the tight trails that we ride, it really already has plenty of power.
