What you don't like *****? As far as Polaris, I just like messing with owners of them. I ride with a guy who has a 600 Sportsman. His is been one issue after another. But all his problems except one have been his fault. He does nothing to it. So we always seem to have to tow him back to the truck.

No problem Goodsound, Anytime you need some enlightening just come over to Polaris forums. It doesn't matter what you like your not going to convince a true Polaris enthusiast to not like there sportsman's. We like are Polaris and going to continue to like um. The outty is a fine machine, Its not for me! Look there is not a lot of American made stuff any more so when i do get a chance to buy American, I do!!! There is a lot of American parts on the bombardiers thank goodness.

Ride safe.

Dude, Im not trying to make you give up on Polaris. My intent was to through the Outty into the mix of Polaris, Yamaha, and Honda. Like I said earlier I missed the $2500.00 part, my bad. In my original post on this thread I used the words "in my oppinion" to keep it civilized. I was just trying to give the guy more options, and everything went down hill from there. Im sorry for having a part in turning this thread ugly.

But I do believe the Outty is the best machine made, and that is my oppinion. There I said it again and yes I do feel better now.

And i dont care what it is if you dont keep up on the maintinance your asking for it to break down. I'm 6'3" 280 and the scrammy is wonderfull, i will never shift gears again, ever.

Listen to this guy, he is not steering you wrong. The 400 2 stroke Scramblers 98-02, Trailblazer (03) you can easily pick up at that price. The mods are very inexpensive compared to the other quads mentioned and have a HUGE amount of hp and the cool thing is you stab the gas and enjoy the ride. Either trail riding, drag racing, dunes whatever. Any older 00 -03 400 EXs is manual some like it but one thing to keep in mind is No Reverse ! And if you run into a Polaris 400L owner youll get spanked. Both are very reilable as long as you properly maintenance them.

Not sure why people think the Honda 650 is under powered. They are fn crazy. Mine will smoke Sp600's ( I know because I have one!) and is about 4-5 quad lengths behind a Sp700 so no its not underpowered. I can climb hills just as good as the sp. I will admit the 650 is not as good of a mudder but it is still pretty good. I use the 600 for mudding and the 650 for trail. The new 680 will stay right beside the 700's so no problem there.

I dont know if those were good comparisons. A 650 should beat a 600. On the other hand, i have a 650, and beat the sp700 eveytime i race it, stock to stock. Dont get me wrong, ive never been on a honda 650, but being that far behind a 700sp, compared to me beating a 700sp, makes me think your honda is a little under powered!

OK so now we are talking drag racing. All of them are under powered when it comes to the Outlander.
