Default Polaris vs. Honda vs. Yamaha

First and foremost, hello everyone- I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but the search feature appears to be bogged down.

I realize the question is biased based on which forum I post this in, which is why I am going to be posting it in all three...

I am really confused as to which company makes the 'best' utility and sport ATV's- my father swears by Polaris but I've ridden both Polaris (we had one of the first 250 Trail Bosses...) and Yamaha and they seem pretty similar... so my question to you is, which makes your company... better than the other two?

I'm looking for something of a weekend ATV that doesn't need much maintanance... trail riding, maybe some mudding. Sport or utility will both work.

Heh, I knew this question would come up sooner or later... the problem is I'm actually in the market for a USED ATV and my budget is really tight- only around $2500.

Arctic Cat, IMO. But that brand wasnt posted. Out of the ones mentioned, Grizzly would be my choice

In the Utility class, I would not concider a Honda big bore over any of the other major manufactures ATVs because they are overpriced and under-equipped when compared. And today, Honda utility ATVs are no more reliable than any of the other major brand utility ATVs.

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

The 330-325 Trailboss is a very good machine but also the Yamaha 250 Beartracker and Honda Recon 250 are good machines too.I would shop around and see which I could get the best deal on.No matter what small ute you get you will be trading up in a year or so any ways.

Wow! Now that is really scary. Anything you buy and dont maintain will let you down sooner than later. Dont buy a polaris so when it does crap out you can rag about it on their forum. Especially if you buy it used!
