Predator Jetting
#2
I'm pretty sure that my buddy changed his pilot jet from a 45 to a 50 and his main from a 150 to a 195. We went riding thur. and it soulded like his choke was half on. It had no top end at all. It would just pop and bog out. I told him to go to a 180 and try it. I was just guessing though. I figured that sombody on here would know better than me.

195??? Yikes man, that's about the size of a straw...LOL
I have a clamp-on and White Brothers pipe that is pretty much open and run a 175. I'm lean though in the heat out here and should be at a 180 during this time of year...

I know that the humidity really sucks here and it usually feels 15* hotter that actual temp. I'll let him know what you guys said and he'll have to play with it and get it perfect. Thanks alot for the advice.

I bought a Moose Power up kit, wich included a K&N that is mounted directly to the carb, it came with a dynojet jetting kit and I have a pure polaris
(white bro.s) pipe.
The instructions in the dynojet kit is to install a 175 as the main jet and change the needle.......I ran the hell out of the quad and it still not right on the top end...feels like the engine isnt getting enough gas.... From 3/4 throttle on up.....Dyno jet has a jetting chart that shows were they all come into play acording to throttle position..... I cant seem to get it right..Im trying to find a place that does dyno tunning for the quad around chicago area...
175 was for up to 3000 feet above see level. and the air/fuel mixture screw 3 turns.
anyone get there quad, tuned just right with these options, and if soo...what were the parameters for the carb jetting. I might just bite the bullet and get it dyno'ed tuned and what ever the results are, I'll post them up fo sure
