If you live by a bigger city I would definately recommend Craigslist over Ebay. I sold my 400 Xplorer in 3 days. The great thing is it is free to post and you don't have to pay any fees. I also like the fact that you are dealing one on one with the buyer. I always get a phone number from the interested party and call it back just so I have a number to get ahold of someone if there is a problem afterwards. If the character sounds different I arrange to meet somewhere before and if I give him directions to my house. I would also recommend putting in your post that you want Cash only and no checks unless they don't mind you hanging on to the property until the check clears. I have not had a bad experience selling on Craiglist. I did respond to a 95 Porsche 911 Cabroliet for $4000 but as I had suspected it was a scam. I was hoping the lady was pissed at hubby and was going to give it away. They had the car ready to ship they just needed the check from me. I told them if I couldn't see the car I don't buy and told them it was a scam. I never heard back from them.
