OK folks, i am not trying to get this crowd too rowdy, but my dealer here in St. Joseph Missouri told me (without me asking) that a NEW ATV was coming. He said it was a Scrambler 700, PROBABLY with a 6-speed fully manual tranny. This is all he said and that it would be in his showroom late March. Try not to cry.

Why do you doubt it?
We've known for months ... it's on its way
(700 or-so v-twin)

I dont see polaris introducing a 6-speed fully manual tranny. But its just my thought. It may be true. Time will tell.

The 700cc may happen....but I don't see it happening with a manual shift. The question is...how much will the thing weigh? A V-twin engine will be too bulky/heavy for a sport atv. I'll bet the v-twin engine would weight 150+ pounds itself.

i can see polaris coming out with a full manual 6 spd..if you remember that funky looking thing that atv connection had a picture of,it looked like a dune buggy? they said whatever that was had a clutch and i bet you they use that frame or whatever it was for testing purposes..dont think they cant develop a 6 spd..they do have the expedition with a 5 spd so why not a 6?

I think they would be taking a risk in alienating Polaris owners by offering a manual clutch. Anyone who has tuned an auto and understands the performance benefits that can be gained, would probably have no interest in a machine with a clutch.

I've heard similar news from my dealer. 600-700cc engine - 6 speed manual. Designed for pure performance to take on the Raptors and Bombadiers. Supposedly the lightest bike Polaris has ever made. He brings this info from a recent Polaris dealer conference. Testing is supposedly ongoing in MN. We will see.......

Wow, that would be impressive to have a true Polaris sport quad. I bet those Raptor, Banshee and DS650 owners are getting a little nervous!!I remember when the Trailblazer only weighed 420 pounds, so do you think Polaris can build a machine lighter than that?? Once all the Raptor, Banshee and DS650 owners hear this, I bet they'll get a little nervous!
