I would check and see if the engine work was done professionaly first.

You wouldnt want to buy it and have it blow up in your face.

Other than that it looks alright.

A used 400 can be a tricky deal.You need to know about how the motor was rebuilt and by who.Plus you need to know how the counterbalance is.If it is dry or had water in it that can lead to a very expensive fix.

$1900 with a fresh top end and hpd pipe,i SAY go for it,if the 4x4 bother you then,it is real easy to take it off
and shaving about 45 lbs,be sure the new piston a wiseco tough,cauze an oem piston with pipe is just a matter
of time before it break,,and '99 was a really good year for 400 motor tough,good cdi and stator.
