need some help on the srambler 500. Seen a yellow one in local dealer was wondering what year it was,2000, or 2001. dealer didn,t know. if its a 2000 want to work a deal with him since the 01's are out. thanks for the help guys.

 

The yellow ones are supposed to be 01,look at the master cylinder and see if it has braided stainless steel lines. As for your dealer I'd be looking for a different one. One that knows about the product he is selling. You can also look on the nose piece,there is a sticker with the vin# and and build date.

 

on the front of the hood just behind the rack is the manufacturing date on a sticker..id be leary of dealing with that dealer if he cant even look at the front of the quad and tell you what year it is let alone that he doesnt even know that sticker is on there

 

If its yellow its definately a 2001. Youre dealer sounds like an idiot.

 

Yup. I agree with the above posts. Find a new dealer.

 

Yellow or red, its a 2001. Agrred, check the sticker!!! Mine is red and the dealer said they were the same specs.
