I'm getting ready to change the oil in my '05 SP 500 I went to the local dealer to pick up some oil and desided while I was there to just buy the oil change kit. I know i was hosed on the price and when the person on the store asked me "Is that a twin cylinder" I knew i was in trouble. Anyway I bought the kit, well the number on the oil filter in the box is 3084963 and the kit says it will fit most. I checked the number on the filter that is on my quad and it is 3087068. My question is will these filter's cross reference or is this kit not going to work with my Sportsman.

 

Both of those cross to a NAPA GOLD 1358 filter so I would say it is fine. I notice Polaris supercedes their numbers fairly frquently

 

Do you know what the napa filter # is for the 2006 sportsman 450 is it the same as the sportsman 500 Thanks ........caper.......

 

From what I see the spt 400/450/500 all use the same filter
