I have 06 500 EFI.. would like some info on oil type and filter..I would rather not got to dealer and want to know what i can use..also where to find best buy on K&N filter..

Use any good name brand filter and any good name brand synthetic motor oil.

I reccomend Castrol Syntec 5w50 but your favorite brand will be just fine.

Do not let anyone convince you that the Polaris oil is better.

daddycool..I personally service about 15-20 Polaris Atv's..I use nothing but Napa 1358 oil filters for 400-450--500 and Mobil One 0-40 oil...For the twins (600-700-800 )I use Napa 1357..We have Atv's with over 8000 miles and as of yet have not had an engine failure..Sure hope his helps...Ride Hard- Ride Safe

All i know is NAPA had a book that was specific to the polaris 500 EFI 2006..hope it is the right one with the valve you speak of..
