Default Dear Polaris

I have decided to buy an Outlander Max XT!

After riding double with my wife for 10 years on a Sportsman 500, using a Kimpex seat, I recently discovered the comfort and convenience of the Outlander 2-up seat and rack. After seeing your ’07 X2, I have reluctantly decided to switch brands.

It’s not because I am displeased with my Sportsmans. They have been reliable hard working machines that have provided my wife and I with the smoothest ride available. But you have been outclassed badly in the 2-up category.

I confess my preference would have been an X2 if it were truly designed for 2-up riding. But while the X2 seat and box is cute, the seat is not fit to carry a passenger (especially my wife) for a day’s outing. And the box is (for me) impractical. What would I carry that needed dumping? If I use the seat the box is unusable! For me the design borders on the ridicules!

And so I have ordered a new 500 H.O. Outlander Max XT. I’ll check back with you in a couple of years – maybe by then you will have a more suitable 2-up Sportsman.

Ebel

The 07 models have different seats now. Alot more comfy. You don't feel like you are held in too tight. It's kinda nice in that matter cause it seems easy to dismount in a hurry if need be dur to a role over or something.

The cost of the 500 Outlander Max XT is about $1000 more then an X2. This includes a rear mounted trunk, which cannot be used with the X2. It also includes full skid plates, which aren't needed with the X2!

I have to agree slightly with the X2 dump box thing. I wanted to get one for the wife and son but could not get past the box. So I did the smart thing and bought here a 500HO limited edition w/ cargo box!!!
