Default AWD engages by itself

Does anybody know why the AWD would engage by itself? I just got my 800 serviced and i went riding with some friends on sport quads. Going downhill after them, it must have engaged because it pulled hard to the right (felt that way) and didn't come out of AWD until i stopped. Anyway, i got off thinking i had a flat at first or a stick jammed in there because the steering sucked. It's happened about 4 times now.

I got the thing serviced and they changed all the fluids. I had the 500 mile service c/w after about 260 miles. SInce it was serviced it had overheated (air in the radiator) and now goes into AWD by itself. I'm going to take it back since it's under warranty. Just trying to pick your brains for info. Thanks guys.

They may have put the wrong fluid in, it takes the hub fluid, not the gearcase fluid, I have seen this before.

make sure they put hub fluid in the gearcase and they didnt over fill it. over filling can cause problems also.

My 800 just started doing the same thing. I have about 800 or so miles on it. Fluid (still factory) is at the correct level. AWD will kick in at anytime forward or reverse , up hill or down , switch or no switch , high gear or low.

get this taken care of soon because if you destroy everything inside that front case its cheaper to replace the whole case assy at about 700.00 for parts alone. take it back and make the dealer fix it before your warranty is out.

"MSD certified polaris mechanic" If its not the oil that making this happen , Whats your opinion as to what else it could be? I havent been riding mine until i do more research. Dealers scare me so i like to know as much as possible before i take it in. I talked to the dealer today and hes at a loss to know whats going on with it seeing that it doesnt have that many miles on it. I then talked to both the owner and the mechanic at the same time and the mechanic says "well it could be such and such" and then the owner speaks up and says "didnt they change that with the 06's". So......i say again......dealers SCARE me.
Speaking of oil........if the oil is not contaminated and at the proper level......how could it influence the magnet?
