330 Mag cooling fan
#1
The cooling fan on the wifes '05 330 Mag never runs. The one on my 700 runs a lot, but I can't remember the 330 running at all. I can put 12 volts on the 2 wires going to the fan motor and it runs. I can disconnect the wires going to the temp sensor in the oil cooler, turn the switch on, and the fan runs. She says she has not seen any warning on the display. What do I check next? it is most likely the sensor i had 2 go bad 1 flashed overheating the other did nothing no signal of overtemp and the fan wouldnt run but bike would heat aqnd sputter if you rode slow and uphill i think they had a bad batch of sensors i got both under warranty dont know cost very easy to install i put a toggle switch on mine just in case it went out on trail good luck

I would put in a cheap temp gauge to see what is going on - see my Polaris KTab below > JAlbums > polaris > Dirty deeds
my fan comes on at 9 o'clock position [temp is not important, just a means of checking]
but fan virtually does nothing as there is no cowling on rad but seems a lot of built in safety in design as when I bought it the rad was solid with mud but engine still works
main thing is IF it goes above 9 o'clock position I will know something dramatic has happened like a hose broken
