500 ho hard to crawl over rocks?

Thanks for the rep;ys,
I guess it just aint gonna crawl as good as a magnum.I am getting ready to upgrade mine soon.I love the ride and unlimited power the 500 ho has.[not many places to open it up here in the mountains.]but we got some very challenging rocky and rough places to ride up here.I really want machine that can crawl easily. However ,im sick of her walking off and leaving me in high range when we get to a hill.Kind of wish they still made a magnum 500.Can you guys tell me if the regular sportsman is any different trying to go slow,or how about that 450? Thanks

You may try a EPI pink primary spring. It has a lower than stock engagment speed.

I just bought my 500EFI, havent taken it offroad yet (had it about 3 days).. BUT I have noticed the same 'touchy' throttle.. I was just writing off to being a much larger engine than I'm used to (300 and 350 on previous ones I've ridden in the past)..
Some of it, at least in my case, could be the EBS also... Previous ones I've ridden did NOT have Engine Braking.. I figure that enhances the touchy feeling by the EBS coming in when you hit the 'touchy' part and drop off the popwer..
