my dealer had one at dunefest for people to look at, however can-am sent it down with a none functioning motor on purpose, duh, dont know why. their rocket pocket is suppose to be out next june, its a 450 vtwin making 70 hp in a different frame. i believe it will be only 2 wheel drive. the engine is used and sold on the aprilia motorcycles.

hey, brp is not dumb why not charge $9000+ for the renny it is not like polaris has
been rolling out new fresh scrammies right along. they have no one to compete
with. I have seen snowmobiles hit the $10,000 mark & guess what? every winter
I see top of the line brand new sleds out on the trails, & this is for something that
gets rode 3mos. out of the year. there is a market for the most expensive, it is
called the prestige market & when we see someone who has a renegade out
on the trails, we are all going to run over to talk to them about it. guess what thats
prestige for the owner & brp!!!!

just buy a used scrammy 400 ($2000-3,500) and put about 1 grand to $1,500 in it and it'll beat the renegade in a darg race, maybe not MX or GNCC though.

I raced a buddy with an outlander 800 and beat him easily, and i don't think that 42 lbs is going to make much of a difference .

I've only laid eyes on one Renegade on the trails, and it was VERY stuck and without somewhere to put a winch, the poor kid was NOT very happy about getting pulled out by a Polaris. And even less happy when I pawed thru the same hole without a problem LOL I'll stick to my big ute thanks.

A buddy just bought an 07 Scammy 500 off his buddy, who purchased a renegade. My buddy says his buddy says the renni is top heavy, and a bit harder to ride. (I guess though he couldn't be persuaded to sell the renni and keep the scrammy......pride is expensive

That is just what I did. 40 hr used 2002 Scrambler 400 (X) 4X4 for $2000. Then the full trail upgrade for $800. Now I have a high 60 Hp 4X4 quad for less than $3K.

And my .02 cents about this discusion; It is not who has high Hp as much as who uses what they have to its fullest potential. I used to beat Raptors, Banshee's, or anybody else that showed up on a mostly stock 400EX. I am nowhere near the best rider in the woods but I do know that the "Best" quad alone will not win you races.

Are you riding what you have now to its absolute fullest potential?? Be honest.

Most ppl think that you dont need 800cc's to get around. But i can already notice a difference in mud of our ridin group. We all have 26"XTR's and the other 589's. They werent able to get the RPM's enough to spin and chew their way through the mud. Once they were stuck there was no way out.

Cant wait for a 800scrammy to come out for you polaris riders
