For parts I'd say you've got .....

$120 for piston
$50 for gaskets
....don't know how much for seals...don't think there are any....
don't know about the petcock...but I bet its cheap.

See how much labor is.......

Default New piston HELP

When my scrammy 400 blew its engine, i ended up spending around $800, but i also cracked the crankcase, bent the rod, and scored my cylinder. I disassembled it and took it to a local shop and got a wiseco for like $110, labor was like $80 an hour all he shop did was true my crank up and put the rod on because he told me it was a tedious task. gaskets were $54 i thought, and i dont remember putting seals in it BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN THERE ARENT ANY. the cases were $330, if you have a torque wrench that will go up to 20 then you could probably do it yourself if you are mechanically inclined. Check my pics if they help any, but if you do it yourself you will save some $$$ but if you have no clue what to do do not attempt. oh and the brass crank nut needs a special socket and it is left hand thread shop will probably have to take that off too i messed mine up trying to take it off myself.

sounds high to me takes approx 5 hours labor and $175 or so in parts to do a topend rebuild. the only seals in the topend should be valve seals.
