Has anyone used Procom's CDI box for the predator? I have an 03 pred and I was wondering if getting a new CDI would help step up the power. Also procom has a rectifier for the pred. Has anyone tried this too? Maybe if I used both in conjunction?

I have an 03 and an 05 preddy.

The 03 has a CDI from the polaris R&D department, my dealer knew someone over there in '03 and was able to get it to me before the other ignitions came out.

The 05 I used the off the shelf pro-com until I went crazy with the mods. I haven't put a rectifier on and never had any issues, however I can't say that it wouldn't have helped. I kinda think they're a bit like snake-oil, lots of talk. But I could be wrong.

If you haven't already, I would focus on the intake and exhaust along with the CDI. Letting it breathe will allow you to take advantage of the ignition curves and added RPM.

I just bought it and it came with a DG accelerator pipe which joins up to the stock headers. I looked at the air filter which looked like a K&N. I had trouble finding headers for that pipe. Anything else I should do to it?

Ok, first.....the rectifier is a joke(as he said). Next....I'd go with the cheaper nicholas cycle cdi if it were me(as they have it set up for the right curve and also so it will still start up, and its kinda cheap).

Next....If you want an intake....go with the twin air clamp on filter from nicholas cycle......

For the header, go with a Rath Racing header....they are great, the best you can buy.....and I think there is one on the nicholas cycle specials page for pretty cheap!!!! If not, you can check the rath site.
