If you are looking for for a true two person ATV the Outlander is clearly the better choice as comfort for the passenger is far superior (my wife can attest to this after 2,500 km in the last 10 months) The seat on the X2 is more of an afterthought and a DUMPBOX???? I guess thats good if you need to carry something that requires dumping??? but not so good for carrying things for a long trail ride.

As for power, whatever, they both have more power than you really need. The 4x4 system, well I like both concepts very much, IMO they are the two best on the market. I guess for something like rock crawling the Polaris is better but in mud and snow they both work great. Engine breaking on the outlander is awesome and thats one area the Polaris is a little scarey, the Outlander will literally walk itself down the steepest of hills.

IMO Polaris is trying to be too many things to too many people--is it for work or play????? If I would have been in the market for a one seater things might have been different, but I think only the brand loyal would buy the X2 over the Max if its the best two seater your after.

 

i came across an outlander yesterday on the trail. of course i had to pull him out of the mud so we could go thru lol. i guess the ole polaris was better in this one.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I watched a review on the x2, and they commented on how Polaris fixed the engine braking, so i think thats not a concern anymore

 

the seatds are more comfy on the 07 X2's. More cushion added and I think a different type foam. Kinda like the front seat is with the foam

 

For your info THE 2007 Has an X2 800 coming out go to polaris website and look at 07 bikes then click X2.....

 

Also I hear some say the Outty has a cheaper feel to it cause of the plastics and such....and wheres my 3rd headlight....? Polaris is one up with that one....I love my 800 laris' at noight cause to see around I just turn the bars [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] wish I could test ride one round here....

 

Yeah, the Polaris seems like a much better choice, and like some have said allready, Polaris now has ADC!! Engine breaking is not an issue anymore. So yeah. Now that the X2 has the power of the 800EFI, it would be no contest as to which one i would choose... The 800X2EFi!!!!!!..
