Default Brake Fluid Leak

I have a 2005 Sportsman 500. Brake fluid "was" leaking from the brake resevoir cap. I removed the cap, applied a small amount of RTV sealant, and reinstalled the cap. The leak has stopped.

Unfortunately, it appears a have another leak somewhere else. Brake fluid is accumulating on the bottom of the resevoir. I checked the steel braided brake line connection to the resevoir, and it is dry.
-Any suggestions as to where else it may be leaking, and how to fix it?
-Are these brake fluid resevoirs notorious for cracking?
-What about the plunger that is moved in and out when the brake lever is applied (are these notorious for leaking)?
-Should I just buy a completely new resevoir, and throw away the leaking one?

I appreciate your comments and suggestions on how to fix this.

Thank you

Default Brake Fluid Leak

If the cap screws are not real tight it will leak from the cap run down under and drip on the floorboard...
