Default Why 0W50 oil in Hawkeye?

Why does Polaris spec 0W50 oil in the Hawkeye? I run Mobil1 0w40 in my sportsman, but the Hawkeye calls for 0W50. I can't seem to find this oil anywhere except at the dealer.

Would 0W40 hurt anything? What would the possible problems caused from running 0W40? I think the Hawkeye has a "wet clutch" that runs in the engine oil. The wet clutch grabs the shaft attached to the drive clutch in the PVT and I assume the belt is always tight as it has no lag at all, like my Sportsman does.

The 330 Magnum and Trailblazer are air cooled and spec 0W40. I would think that the 0W40 would be fine, but you could also use a 5W50 or 15 0r 20W50 as long as it isn't too cold out.
