Stuck in the mud
#1
Last weekend I took my sons riding even though it was wet & rainy. We went to a off road park & we were the only people there. We had a blast playing in the mud. The Scrambler with the 4x4 was the way to go. That is until my son took it out in the middle of the MX track and the throttle gave out. It was dead and would not start, the throttle lever was really loose like it wasn't connected at all. We started pushing it out and the Titan 489s just loaded up with mud to the point that each tire weighed about 100 pounds and would not even turn. We had to stop every few feet and dig all the mud off all the tires. I couldn't believe how quickly the tires would load up with mud. I finally was able to get my truck close enough to run a rope out to it and my truck could barely even budge it. My truck then got stuck a few times too so we had to disconnect the Scrambler & push the truck out. After about 3 hours of pushing and shoving we finally got the Scrambler moving fast enough behind my truck to throw the mud off the tires. What a mess! I made the last payment on my 2 wheel drive truck this week so I told my sons that's the last time I get in mud with a 2x4 truck. It's going up for sale and I'm getting a 4x4 truck hopefully before Christmas.
