Default SCrambler 500 issues

I have a 2001 scrambler 500 2x4 and when it runs, it runs great. the only problem is i cant seem to get it running lately. Its getting fuel, air, and spark. the last time i rode i was having a hard time keeping it idle without dying finally it wouldnt start so i took the seat off and there was oil in the air box and all over the filter. today i checked the oil and it has gas mixed in with it for some reason. can anyone tell me whats going on and/or what i can do to fix this problem. Id like to go riding soon thanks....Danny

is it flooding. sounds like your needle is stuck open in the carb and gas is pouring in.

have you been doing wheelies lately? or stood it on end? or steep inclines? this will allow oil to flow into the air box, from the oil tank.

as far as the idle idssue,,,one suggestion would be to clean the carb thoroughly. particularly paying attention to the pilot jet and the float valve and seat.

another after that, change the oil, oil filter, spark plug and air filter.

im 99% sure youll take care of any prob you had.

regular tune ups make a world of difference.
