I dont care about wheelies I just want it to hook when I am raceing. I got the best tires money can buy on it and it still is blowing dirt 20 feet back,WTF. Quads with bald tires beat mine in 300 foot because they kill me out of the hole so bad

i usually rev it up a little and take off in second and run the **** out of it from there. i run Maxxis Razr2's and they hook up great in all conditions. i can usually take on any quad around here. the only ones i havent been able to beat yet are a Raptor 700 and a 250R

launch in second and grenade your tranny/clutch? you've got to be kidding me.

you must have some junker clutch installed on your quad, cuz its bearly any difference in slipping the clutch between first and second gear. unless i was racing constantly i wouldent ever see a new clutch needed for my quad

Yes, that can eat up clutches faster.......

About your low end power, listen to what I said above, and you won't have to worry about 1st gear......its basically not there, cuz of soo much low end.

Also, you say you have no low end........yet, still can't find good enough tires to hook up with.....hmm confusing.

Also......want you to know......that this "racer dude"........races other stuff than in a strait line......and if you say the rappy is better at those races, you've got to get a reality check......

I was talking strail line raceing when I just line up agenst a freind. Also what i mean is no low end is I dump the clutch the tires hook up then it gets to about 5000 and just breaks loose and spins and then I lift and shift and its reving so high it spins agean then hooks and then spins at the upper RPM's

The 2003 came out with the "anti-squat suspension". This is designed to keep the front end down under hard acceleration, so no it is not a wheelie machine like others have stated. Because of complaints of this the 2004 model made several changes in the rear. The swing arm was shortened by 5/8 of an inch resulting in some loss in weight and fewer welds. It also allowed the bike to transfer weight to the rear in acceleration resulting in much better traction and hook up. (Also better for wheelies).

That is why your 2004 and up Predator owners can ride wheelies easier than the 2003 owners and no complaints of putting the power to the ground.
