i have a 02 700 with 225hrs and 1550 miles. the front struts make a loud popping noise. i took and sprayed them at the shaft with wd-40 the noise stops. but 6 months later noise is back again. i can keep spraying them but i would like to no what is causing the noise. they are not bad because they perform perfect on the trails and they have never leaked. anyone else had this problem if so whats the fix. thanks alot.

 

after close inspection the popping noise is coming from the top were the strut mounts to. alot of creek sand up there. rinsed off with water hose while wife rocked atv left and right. sand and grit gone no more noise.

 

mine creeks when i get sand, dust, dirt up in there.
i replaced my springs with the EPI HD ones but didnt have the problem prior.
Spraying with WD40 does help...
