Default Tire Problems

I have a Xplorer 250.

My front tires are really wore down compared to the back. Is that normal or it there something wrong?

Also, what are the symptoms of a broken belt in the tire?

Thanks!

Think for a moment of the:
The width of the tires and that effect on the contact patch……. (The actual amount of contact between the rubber and the road measured in square inches)

Now think about how many pounds that said contact patch has to support ……(The actual weight each tire has to support measured in pounds per square inch)

Now think about how low pressure tire combined with a soft long travel suspension ATV’s weight shift around when you brake or turn at speed and that effect on pounds per square inch of contact area on each individual tire.

After you think about these for a moment ………and then throw in the fact that 80% of the braking is done with the front tires on a Polaris ATV.

After all this thinking gets done, you let me know if it’s feasible for the front tires to wear faster then the back.

After all this thinking ……................you should go out and ride the hell out of you’re machine!!!
