I have a 97 sportsman 500 4X4, Today after riding I tried to start using the electrical start and it would not start. nothing happened at all. Also none of the lights (ex. h/l, t/l, lights on speedometer) work. I used the pull start and it crank on the first pull. Any suggestions as to what may be the problem. I was told that the stator would cause this and it would also cause starting problem after running for sometime. the later has occurred once or twice but usually the first time I try to start with the electric start it fires right up.

THis is not a problem but i would like to know the cause if anyone knows. When moving forward sometimes the steering pulls to the right. The atv becomes difficult top steer when this occurs but this does go away and does not happen everytime. Has anyone else experienced this and if so what is the cause or fix? This occurs when moving forward in 2 wheel drive.
