Polaris (made in USA)

The twin engines are built by Polaris and called Liberty engines. This would include the 600, 700, and 800. The smaller engines are built by Fuji Heavy Industries from Japan, which also make the engines for the Subaru cars. The fuji engines are unstoppable and unbeatable. They are second to none, not even Honda! I'm not sure who makes the engine for the new hawkeye (299cc),? I also beleive the outlaw 525 engine is made by KTM. Otherwise, I know the other engines 500cc and down are Fuji engines. Also, not sure about the Phoneix, but I believe the post above covered that.

They are good engines. However, not in the same class as the Fuji engine. The fuji engine are not only more durable, and reliable, but fuji is known for producing big numbers in relation to hp out of small engines. Take the Subaru WRX. It produces well over 300hp and it's a 4 cylinder! In the atv world, the sportsman 500ho (499cc)produces only about 3hp less than the sportsman 600 (597cc) twin. The 500ho is fuji and the 600 twin is a liberty. Thsi is why they dropped the sp600. Also, the predator, scrambler, and now the new outlaw are all medium bore engine that produce more hp and top speed than most of the bigbore sport bikes. The liberty engines are good, very good engines, but I wish Polaris had contracted Fuji to make their bigbore twins instead. Again, even honda can't touch the fuji engines for durability, reliability, and just plain toughness.
Example: I've got a friend with a 1998 sp500, that has about 15,000 miles on the machine. It has never been touched other than a cvt belt, and oil changes, that were few and far between. It's never had anything replaced, rebuilt, except the oil and a belt. Still running today.

My Sportsman 450, has made in USA labels
all over it on the engine housing etc.
I do see a few Canada stamps too.
Is everything exlcusively made a 100% (all parts
on the machine) in the US anymore?
America is not a true manafacturing nation
anymore, shame to say!
I think the last I read on a Ford car sticker
many things were made in Brazil, whats up
with that? Where is my Union friends now,
cussing me out cause I bought a Toyota
Tundra (04) used, eventhough it was
made (assembled) in the US - My rant
anyways sorry!
