So what do you guys think of Tom Tiller's challenge to the other ATV CEO's? It will be interesting to see who shows up.

It should be interesting. I watched how Can-Am did the mud pit comparison against the Polaris. I found it interesting the driver of the Can worked the steering and moved around more to get the traction to get to the end where the rider on the Polaris just seemed to give up. I've been in a lot of mud with my X2 500 and haven't come close yet to getting stuck. Anything from small rocky mudholes to large clay mud holes. That being said, if you try hard enough you'll get stuck eventually. I think Cans are probably the closest competition overall, with similar speed and four wheel drive system. I don't think there is a better 4wd system out there than the Polaris. Storage for trail gear and the all wheel drive system are why I got it and both are excellent!

Sounds like it would be an interesting challenge. I don't like where they're highlighting strengths and weaknesses when they refer to the competition as "weak" or "wimpy" such bashing from one brand to another is mere childishness, though I understand they're probably trying to goad the comp. into stepping up ...
just my .02

Actually, Polaris has an excellent 4x4 system, but I like ACs 4x4 system better than Can-Am, as you can manually lock and unlock the differentials, and 4x4. I think you should be more worried about AC coming through the mud than Can-Am. Can-Am will just beat everyone off the line

All it would prove to me is that Tiller rides atvs. It proves nothing about the machines quality. I could really care less if the CEO of Yamaha even knows how to start a Grizz, infact i hope he pays people to do it for him. All the companys build good quads it all comes down to personal preference.
I personaly cant stand polaris atvs I think they are junk. They are heavy, ugly, plastic racks, screwball awd designe, and i think struts are a joke. Now that being said they build a fine machine that works well and lots of people love/swear by them. As long as i can buy any outher brand i will be happy.

Polaris PR guys need a big raise for this idea. Brilliant!!!
You imagine the commericals they can spin off of this. All bases will be covered. If they lose an overall competetion to a brand they can still brag on the areas that they did better. If they win the overall competetion the benefits are obvious. If a brand does not show up that is almost like admitting defeat!!! Polaris can have a field day with commercials on the brands that do not show up.
