But I guess I could have bought a Polaris Predator, y ou know, the one they sell with a FUJI engine. Or maybe the new Outlaw, which comes with an engine made by KTM (in Austria).

Personally, I have to say, I would hope that they all show up. Further, I wouldn't think that the CEOs themselves should have to ride. As has been stated, some are in their eighties. They should be allowed to designate people to ride in their places if they even desire to enter this contest. - In fact, equal rights should be bestowed for all the companies, not just on Polaris' behalf. That said. I'm not a fan of other machines. I personally don't like most of them. Although they have their fan base. My first quad was a Polaris and as far as I'm concerned my last quad will be one. In the end the results of this test will have no bearing on my loyalties. Polaris could come in dead last and I wouldn't care at all. Just my two cents.

And another thing is that the comapnies that WIN against polaris in the competition is NOT allowed to use that for marketing at ALL, and when polaris wins agaisnt someone they can use anyhing they want. Thats not fair.
Ganggree, im with you all the way buddy, even though I stand by my polaris 450, its marketing.

I think its a great idea. These courses don't seem to be so complicated that it will require an expert rider to run them. Now if a CEO has no experience riding his own product, then maybe he should not be CEO. It seems to me that paying for plane tickets is a non-issue. These companies don't think twice about sending a half a dozen people on a trip for meetings. It seems to me that the big companies are in a better position to pay their own way considering rooms in Las Vegas can easily hit $500 a night. Money is no issue here.
As far as marketing.. If Polaris really falls on their face.. it really would be a black eye that no company could resist. Even if Polaris fails in an event, it would be a great marketing statement that the other companies could make.. "Polaris dared us to take the challenge" "We took it and beat them". Seems to me that Polaris has more to lose than gain if they fail.
It seems to me that any other company can also propose the same type of event and make the same demands. Since they haven't, we should not fault Polaris for being the first to do it.
We have all seen the info-videos that the manufacturers make. We know that that the tests are choreographed to get the biggest bang for the manufacturer. In this case, it is the drivers that picks the machine to use a gainst the others. Seems to me, that levels the field a bit.
