Default Sportsman 2006 500 HO - Overheating

Has anyone had an heating problem from exhaust pipe from manifold to just before muffler on there sportsman 2006 500 HO? My machine has about 300 miles on it and yesterday while I was on a short drive I noticed my seat was starting to heat up. I stopped and took off my seat, 3 plastic stubs under my seat were melted, the most forward screw connection of the back plastic was melted right through and the black side cover by the gear shift top peg was melted right off. I brought it in to the local dealer today. They told me I was the 4th machine to have the same problem with same bike and Polaris Headquarters is not covering damage and gave some song and dance to dealer. So if anyone knows of this problem elsewhere please let me know.

Thanks.
